The problem

Millions of people cannot navigate the systems
that shape their own lives.

Millions of people in the Netherlands face a combination of barriers that shuts them out of the help that exists: a system that operates only in Dutch, requires appointments, and asks them to explain their most private situation to a stranger. The people who love them are the last ones they will ask. So they wait. And the situation worsens.

Kompas builds the tools that remove these barriers. Private, multilingual, free. Not a handout. A guide that gives people the understanding and confidence to handle things themselves.

How we work

Private by design

Nothing you share is stored. No session, no data, no trace. Because the people who need help most are often the ones least able to afford exposure.

In your language

The Dutch system is complex enough without navigating it in a language that is not your own. Kompas works in the language you think in.

Your decision, your action

We do not solve problems for you. We give you the understanding and confidence to solve them yourself. The goal is that you need us less, not more.

The scale of the problem

The number of people who need help is growing.

0
Households in the Netherlands with registered problematic debt — two thirds for three or more consecutive years
0
People living in the Netherlands born abroad, navigating the system in a language not their own
0
New arrivals between 2019 and 2024 alone
0
Adults with limited basic reading, numeracy, or digital skills
